I’m curious about you, you seem so innocent
Interesting. I don't shop at Wal-mart, but this is a fun peak at the complexities of doing business internationally, and specifically, why Wal-mart failed in Germany. 
The company initially installed American managers, who made some well-intentioned cultural gaffes, like offering to bag groceries for customers (Germans prefer to bag their own groceries) or instructing clerks to smile (Germans, used to brusque service, were put off).~Note to self: don't smile at the Germans. | ¶ 4:19 p.m.
